Longboard Workshop with Carla Zamora
Are you a lover of classic longboarding? Are you mesmerized watching your idols do dropknees and bottom turns with ease? Do you yearn to cross-step and perch on the nose, just like them, but not sure how to do it?
Carla Zamora grew up at First Point Malibu, one of the best longboarding waves in the world. Under the guidance of her father as well as a long list of logging proficionados, Carla learned the proper nuances exclusive to traditional longboarding.
Join Carla on Friday, June 21st from 7-9pm at Traveler for an exclusive workshop geared specifically for the longboarder looking to improve their longboard game.
*This workshop is open to all ages and genders, but attendees must be beyond surfing’s basics.*
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- Bottom Turning
- Dropknee/Reverse Dropknee
- Cutting Back
- Squaretail vs Pintail
- Fin Placement
- The Proper Noserider
Attendees can expect at least 1½ hours of discussion with Q&A, drinks, and give-aways from Carve Designs.
Each ticket includes a Day Pass to come use our Surf Club. We encourage everyone to come back over the weekend to "meet-up" and practice what they just learned in the surf!
Space is very limited. Tickets are non-refundable, please plan accordingly.
